Welcome to the Penrhiwceiber village Website.

Penrhiwceiber is situated in the Cynon Valley within the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taff adjacent to the communities of Miskin and Perthcelyn in south Wales.

The coal that formed the basis of the village has now gone, the scars of the pits and tips are slowly healing but the memories are still within the community.

With the assistance of Communities First, Neighbourhood Renewal and other funding, the village is beginning to change with a new medical centre, library, new children’s play areas, a new primary school and an annual carnival. 

However, much work is still required to rid the village of the stigma of being one of the most deprived areas in Wales.

The Communities First office is situated on the main road within Penrhiwceiber Hall and affords easy access for disabled.
